Pottery Class
Pottery Class is a series of characters who are new to creating pottery.
These pieces were created in the first three months of my own ceramics practice. The characters are intended to mirror my own experience of newly creating pottery pieces: proud, humbled, and excited for more.
Each piece is able to hold flowers or small objects through an opening that reveals an entirely glazed internal body.
Edna and Edith
Edna has just picked up her first completed pottery piece, a black and blue bowl. Her sister Edith has brought her flowers as congratulations. Both sisters are stoneware bud vases with openings at the top of their hats.

Rudy
Rudy just took his first pottery class and learned how to make a beautiful vase. The vase itself fuses into his stoneware body, revealing a glazed interior functional as a small bud vase.
